Set among the Victorian villas of the south-west Lancashire sand dune system, the course sits besides a nationally renowned nature reserve and seabirds and other wildlife provide an added bonus.
In addition to being regularly chosen to host Regional Qualifying when The Open is played at nearby Royal Birkdale, Hesketh Golf Club has hosted County Championships, National Championships and top events in women's golf. In addition, England Golf has its roots at the Club when a former Hesketh Captain went on to become the Union's first President.
The course sets a testing yet fair challenge for golfers of all abilities. It is distinctive by virtue of the fact that half of the holes nestle between sand dunes, while the others border the Ribble estuary. The closing holes, from the 14th to the 18th meander between the sand hills and the clubhouse and provide a tremendous finish making it the perfect addition to your Open Experience.
